effort to convert appropriate management and maintain accuracy and nonidentity in lines with the following ideas.
1. Purposes of acquiring information
We acquire the personal information of customers so that our transaction with customer progress securely and so that customers can be provided with better financial product and services. In concrete terms, the information in used for such purposes as checking the identity of a person, checking various conditions for doing business and introducing new product and services to the customer.
Personal information is used within the scope of the purposes of acquiring and shall only be used as far as necessary for carrying out business and shall not be used for a purpose other than the intended purpose.
2. Types of information to be acquired
The most general types of information to be acquired are the address, name, and data of birth, sex, and telephone number of the customer. In addition to these types is the information requested from the customer when transactions are commenced.
3. Information acquisition method
Once adequate security measures are taken customer information may be mainly acquired using mail and electronics devices such as the internet and telephone
4. Use and provision of information
The bank shall not use or externally provide customer information
except for the following cases:
- where the customer has consented
- Where it is judged as being necessary under a law or ordinance.
- Where it is considered as being necessary for the interest of the customer or community.
- Where the bank introduces a financial product
or services thought to be of great interest to the customer.
- Where the personal information is to be entrusted with a third party for the purpose of outsourcers operations.
(in this situation the said third party is investigated the necessary contract are concluded and either measures required under the laws and ordinances are taken)
5. Information Management Method
Appropriate measures are constantly taken so that customer information can be kept accurate and up-to-date. In addition, to prevent the loss destruction, falsification, and leaking, etc of the personal information of customers we take appropriate information security measures such as measures against unauthorized access and computer virus countermeasures

8. Co-use of Personal Data:
If the check/bill/draft/note are dishonored, many harmful influences will be expected to be incurred to bearer of concerned check/bill/draft/note and related financial institutions.
In order to secure the smooth distribution, whenever check/bill/draft/note are dishonored, we shall make the measure to suspend the dealings to the concerned drawer, and other necessary measures may be made in case of need.
Please, therefore, note that we shall also present the personal data for the drawer of dishonored check/bill/draft/note, accepters of dishonored bill of exchange, and applicant for opening current account to the clearing house, and those will be co-used among the financial institutions.
(1) Items of Personal Data to be Co-Used
a.Name of the concerned drawer (In case the concerned drawer is a corporation, its name, name of representative, and title of representative)
b.Trade name of the concerned drawer, if any
c.Address (including Zip Code) of the concerned drawer (In case the concerned drawer is a corporation, place where it is closed)
d.Name of applicant for opening a current account (In case the concerned drawer is a corporation, its name, name of representative, and title of representative)
e.Date of birth
f.Profession
g.Capital (Only in case of a corporation)
h.Category and face value of the concerned check/bill/draft/note
i.Division between a dishonor (so called "The First Dishonor") and report regarding suspension of transactions (so called "Disposition by Suspension of Transactions")
j.Exchange date or presentation date
k.Name of paying bank (including name of concerned department of branch)
l.Name of out-clearing bank (including name of concerned department or branch)
m.Reason of dishonor
n.Date of disposition by suspension of transactions
o.Name of clearing house in which the paying bank (department or branch) of the dishonored check/bill/draft/note is participating, and the bankers association to which the concerned clearing house belongs

In case the information regarding captioned a. - c. described in the dishonored check/bill/draft/note is different from the information which was held by the paying bank, the information described in the concerned dishonored check/bill/draft/note shall also be co-used.

9. Modifications
The above information may be modified as a result of amendments to the law and other reasons. In that case, a notice will be posted at locations such as office information desks.
