State Bank of India is the largest bank of India in terms of Assets, Net Earnings & Market Share with a vast network of 10000+ branches in India & 84 offices in 32 countries spanning all time zones.

SBI has arrangements with over 1500 various international / local banks to exchange financial messages through SWIFT in all business centres of the world to facilitate trade related banking business, reinforced by dedicated and highly skilled teams of professionals.

State Bank of India started its operations on the 26th January, 1978 when it opened a Representative Office in Tokyo. Effective from the 23rd January, 1980, the Representative Office was transformed into a full fledged branch.

The branch was opened with the objectives, inter alia, to foster the trade between India and Japan through trade finance products and to help Indian Corporates to access the financial market in Japan. Another branch in Osaka was opened on 5th September, 1984. At these two branches SBI offers a wide range of services such as deposits, remittances, trade finance solutions, syndicated loans etc.
